Bell Ringer Policy: To: High School Parents/Legal Guardians What: The School Board approved a new Bell Ringer Grading Policy on September 9th . "This procedure will be implemented on November 12, 2025". Details: Under the new policy, 10% of a student's grade will be based on the daily, on-time "Bell Ringer" assignment completed at the beginning of each class. The remaining 90% of a student's grade will come from overall assignments, quizzes, and tests. Procedure: Distribution: Teachers will be at their classroom doors handing out the Bell Ringer assignments during transition time. Completion: Students should complete the assignment within the first 3 minutes of class. Attendance: while students work on the Bell Ringer, the teacher will take attendance. The assignment is worth 10 points daily in each class. It is scored with 7 points for being on time and 3 points for correct answer. Note: 1) If a student is on extra-curricular event-they can make up the on-time bell ringer at the end of the week. 2) An unexcused absence is not eligible to make up the on-time bell ringer assignment.
