The walk was a successful and meaningful event that showed respect, remembrance, and unity. • Arikara, Hidatsa, and Tribal History Field Trip – Students learned about traditional songs, the importance of Mother Corn, language, and culture. They also participated in a ceremonial harvest of squash, beans, and sunflower, gaining hands-on experience with tradition and respect for the land. We want to be sure the building is unlocked and staff are present to welcome them. End-of-Day Changes If you need to change your child’s after-school plans, please call the front office (not the classroom teacher). Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday: Call before 3:00 p.m. Wednesday: Call before 2:00 p.m. (dismissal is at 2:45) Teachers may not see phone calls, emails, or messages during the school day as they are working with students, but the office can make sure the change is communicated right away. We’re excited to launch a new year of Success for All (SFA) Reading on Monday, August 25! 1st–5th grade: 8:55 a.m. 6th grade: 10:35 a.m. Kindergarten: reading time happens throughout the day. Make sure your child arrives on time, so they don’t miss the start of reading! Each night, students will have 20 minutes of reading and a Read & Respond. Classes compete monthly for the trophy, and students who return 90% or more earn prizes. Together, families and school can help every child become a confident reader! Wednesday Early Outs: Just a reminder—school dismisses at 2:45 PM every Wednesday to allow time for teacher professional development. Please make sure pickup arrangements are in place.
