Each night, students are asked to read for 20 minutes and complete a Read & Respond as part of our Success for All (SFA) program. This daily practice builds fluency, comprehension, and a lifelong love of reading. Research shows that just 20 minutes of reading a day adds up to over 1.8 million words read in a year! To keep things fun, classes compete each month for the Read & Respond trophy, and students who return 90% or more earn special prizes. By working together—families encouraging reading at home and school supporting learning during the day—we can help every child grow into a confident, successful reader. Edwin’s mission is to promote kindness and positive behavior throughout our school. Edwin will be hidden somewhere in the building with a special message. When a class finds him, they will share with Mrs. Bear where Edwin was, what his message said, and three ways they can help spread his message. Be sure to talk to your children about Edwin’s messages of kindness and positive behavior. Stay Updated!
