To clear up any confusion, the girl's basketball game this evening with DLB will be held in Des Lacs.

We have been informed by law enforcement that our buildings have been cleared. Local Law Enforcement conducted their investigation regarding the threat. New Town Public Schools take threats to our school district very serious. The safety of our staff and students remains our number one priority.
Thank you for being understanding during this event.
Mr. Marc Bluestone Sr. Dr. Anthony Vandal

Dear New Town Parents/Guardians
On Monday, February 12th, New Town Middle and High School went on lockdown. School personnel were made aware of a potential threat to our middle and high school buildings. Our local law enforcement have responded to the threat and are working to secure the building.
After a thorough sweep of the buildings, it was recommended to downgrade to a soft lockdown
Per protocol, Edwin Loe Elementary is on a soft lockdown. There is no imminent threat to the elementary building and will be waiting for our local law enforcement to lift the lockdown.
Once more information becomes available, we will send out another message.
Respectfully,
Mr. Marc Bluestone Sr. Dr. Anthony Vandal

Dear Parents/Guardians,
We appreciate the sentiment behind Valentine's Day deliveries; however, it has become apparent that these gestures, while well-intentioned, can inadvertently disrupt the focus of our office staff and classroom teachers. This detracts from our primary mission of providing a high-quality and safe education for all our students. Furthermore, it is important to recognize that not all students have the opportunity to receive such deliveries, which can inadvertently create feelings of exclusion. Additionally, with multiple strains of influenza circulating within our community, maintaining a safe and healthy environment is paramount. Therefore, we kindly request that Valentine's Day deliveries not be sent to the school, as it is in the best interest of all members of our school community.
Classroom celebrations are still being planned in many of our elementary classrooms and we want our students to be able to celebrate all of their successes. Middle and High School events have been planned around the same timeframe.
Again parents/guardian, we need your assistance in ensuring our students have a distraction-free Valentine’s Day. Please follow up with your child’s teacher for information regarding any planned celebrations.

Good morning. New Town Schools will begin on time today with the exception of the Mandaree bus, which will run one hour late. School will begin at 8:30 am on schedule.

Edwin Loe Elementary will be celebrating Valentine’s Day Wednesday, February 14. Classroom teachers will be sending party plans home with students. Snacks need to be at school by 1:00 as most parties begin at 1:30. Note: We will not be accepting Valentine’s Day deliveries of flowers, balloons, candy, etc. due to the sheer volume we receive in the office and the disruption they cause on buses. We encourage families to celebrate the holiday at home.

The Nurturing Family Program that is held at the CTE Center every Tuesday is cancelled for this evening. It will resume next Tuesday as scheduled. We are sorry for any inconvenience.
