New Town High School Prom
The NTHS Prom was cancelled due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Guidance from the Governor and Tribal Chairman have advised school districts against these types of events due to the possibility of community spread.
Any event that is planned by parents is a private event and is not associated with the school district.

Parents of Edwin Loe Elementary: Registration will begin on Monday, June 1 and continue through June 30 from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm Monday through Friday for the 2020-2021 school year.
All NEW students will need to bring in a birth certificate; updated immunization records; and if enrolled, and tribal enrollment information.
For all returning students, the parents/guardians will need to re-register their child/children as well, as there is a form in the office for returning students.
If you have any questions, please call the elementary office at 701-627-3718. The elementary office is now located on the southeast side of the new addition.


Senior Class of 2020: Please stop into my classroom on Monday, June 1 after 1:00 pm to pick up your graduation packet. Please use the Saturday Academy door only. This will include your honor cords, photos that you gave me for the slideshow, and wristbands with detailed information about the graduation ceremony. Even if you are not planning on participating in the ceremony, I do have items for you. See you soon!


High school summer school begins on June 1st at the high school in room 209. Please stop up at the Northern Lights today or tomorrow to register and/or pick up materials. Students must use the west door (same as Saturday Academy). There will be courses offered in both June and July. These courses are available for any students that will be in grades 9-12 in the 2020-2021 school year. Email nancy.reimer@k12.nd.us for more information.


Any high school students that are interested in summer school is invited to come to the Northern Lights this next week from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm to register. After June 1st, it will be moved to the high school. If you would like more information, please email nancy.reimer@k12.nd.us. There will be courses available in both June and July.

Graduation 2020 Updates
As per a Tribal Council decision:
*All graduates will only be permitted to have 15 reserved guests at the ceremony. A guest list must be provided prior to the ceremony. Details will be sent later.
In addition:
*No gifts--including blankets--will be admitted.
*The seating will not be first come, first served. There will be a specific seating section for each graduate's guests.
*The ceremony will be streamed and available online.
*Participation in the graduation ceremony is not mandatory. Any families that do not feel comfortable attending, please contact me at nancy.reimer@k12.nd.us as soon as possible to let me know so that adjustments can be made to the seating charts and lineups.
More information will be released as soon as it is available.


Parents and Students of New Town Public Schools: This is a reminder that tomorrow is the last day of school. If there is any homework finished that needs to be turned in please do so before noon tomorrow so that the teachers can grade the papers and update grades. Have a safe and great summer!


This message is for all parents and students in the 8th grade entering into high school next year: Freshman registration is due on Friday, May 15th. The registration packets were delivered on Monday. Please call the high school office at 627-3658 if you have any questions.


Parents and students of New Town Public Schools: If you have homework to be turned in and you want the school district to collect it at your home, please call the school district office by Monday, May 11th before noon at 627-3650. The school district will pick up homework at on May 11th, starting at 1:00 pm. Please ensure that your child’s full name and teacher’s name is on the homework. You can also drop off schoolwork on Monday through Friday, from 8 am to 4 pm at the east entrance of the Middle School/High School by the cafeteria. This will be the last date of pickup as the last day of school is May 15th.
