Drug Clothing Brands
On this poster are some photos of clothing brands that display promoting drugs or can be used to hide drugs. This is problematic as this is not appropriate for children / students to be wearing. We have drug brands such as "cookies" that on first glance look innocent or playful. "Cookies" is a brand that is associated with Marijuana and drug paraphernalia. There are backpacks that have hidden "smell proof compartments" for stashing or hiding drugs. There are hats that also have hidden compartments as well. Here are some common clothing brands to keep an eye out for. Companies that promote drug use often use colorful and playful art expressions to attract younger individuals and often imply "drugs are not bad but fun!". These brands often glamorize addiction, potentially normalizing substance abuse, especially among youth.
COOKIES
KILLER ACID
MONGOLIFE
SUNDAE SCHOOL
VALFRE
BORED TEENAGER
STIGMA AND STYLE
HUF
LETTER SHOPPE
As a School Resource Officer when I see clothing brands with these promotions of drugs, alcohol etc. it becomes a conversation with the student and trying to get them to understand the inappropriateness of these items. If you have any questions or concerns please reach out.
Thank you!

Dear Edwin Loe Families,
Welcome Back!
I hope you're enjoying a wonderful summer and finding time to relax, recharge, and gear up for the new school year! We’re excited to welcome everyone back and can’t wait to see all the smiling faces at our Open House on Monday, August 11, from 5:00 to 8:00 PM. Just a reminder, the first day of school is Thursday, August 14.
This year, our administrative team remains the same as last year, continuing with a strong foundation of leadership. I will continue to serve as your head principal, and I’m pleased to have Ms. Tanya Houle returning as our assistant principal. In addition, Mrs. Christina Jolley will continue to oversee all our special education programs. Together, we are committed to supporting every student, staff member, and family throughout the school year.
We’re looking forward to another great school year! Our staff has been working hard to get everything ready for a smooth and successful start. The office team has been busy enrolling new families, updating records, and making sure everything is in place for day one. Our custodial team has also done an outstanding job cleaning the building from top to bottom to make sure it’s safe and ready for students and staff. We can’t wait to welcome everyone back!
Just a reminder: Our school follows a state-mandated cell phone policy, which we were fortunate to have already implemented ahead of time. As part of this policy, students will not be permitted to use cell phones during the school day. We appreciate your support in helping us maintain a focused and distraction-free learning environment.
Our weekly newsletter can be found on our school website and on the Facebook page, Edwin Loe Elementary School. Don’t forget about the app that the school district offers which helps you keep up to date. The app can be located by searching NTPS Eagles. The app is linked to our web page and our Facebook and X page so there are multiple ways we can communicate with you.
I am looking forward to a great school year. If you have any problems or questions, please do not hesitate to stop in or call. I can be reached at (701)627-3718. Enjoy the rest of your summer!
Sincerely,
Jenell M. Bear Tanya Houle

Dear Eagle Parents/Guardians, Staff and Students:
As principal, it is my pleasure to welcome you back for another year of excellent educational opportunities at NTHS.
I am hoping that you had an outstanding summer break at camps, summer school, summer jobs, or other enterprises and are ready for an exciting, new school year.
High School classes begin on August 14, 2024, at 8:30 a.m. All high school students will report directly to the high school gymnasium at this time. Regular school hours are 8:30 a.m. to 3:50 pm, unless otherwise designated for early-out days.
I am looking forward to working with all of you, and I encourage you to the greatest extent possible to continue to place a high value on quality education. Ensuring regular attendance, communicating closely with instructional and administrative staff, supporting your student(s) in their academic and extra-curricular activities, and celebrating in their successes and triumphs are great ways to express value for quality education.
Let’s make this the very best year for your student(s) and family.
