September 28-October 2, 2026 Orange Shirt Day: Every Child Matters On September 30, Edwin Loe Elementary will recognize Orange Shirt Day. The day began with the story of Phyllis Webstad, whose new orange shirt was taken from her on her first day at a residential school. We remember the children who were taken from their families, honor survivors, and affirm that every child matters. Our students will take part in a schoolwide activity to reflect on this meaning and show that every child belongs at Edwin Loe.
