Good Afternoon New Town Parents/Guardians,
At 1:09, New Town Public Schools went into a soft lockdown. During this time, instruction still continued, and students were to remain in their classrooms. Mr. Bluestone, Dr. Vandal, and District Administrators remained in contact with our local law enforcement. At 1:41 pm, we were advised there was no longer a potential threat to our school buildings and the soft lockdown was lifted. We want to thank our local law enforcement, district staff, parents, and students for their cooperation during this lockdown. Any questions should be directed to Mr. Marc Bluestone Sr. or Dr. Anthony Vandal. Have a safe weekend.

Good Afternoon New Town Parents/guardians
New Town Public School District schools are on a soft lock down. Local law enforcement is currently in pursuit of a suspect, and as per their recommendation, we are implementing our soft lockdown protocol. There is no imminent threat to any of our building and we will keep you updated as more information becomes available to us by law enforcement.
Mr. Marc Bluestone Dr. Anthony Vandal

To clear up any confusion, the girl's basketball game this evening with DLB will be held in Des Lacs.

We have been informed by law enforcement that our buildings have been cleared. Local Law Enforcement conducted their investigation regarding the threat. New Town Public Schools take threats to our school district very serious. The safety of our staff and students remains our number one priority.
Thank you for being understanding during this event.
Mr. Marc Bluestone Sr. Dr. Anthony Vandal

Dear New Town Parents/Guardians
On Monday, February 12th, New Town Middle and High School went on lockdown. School personnel were made aware of a potential threat to our middle and high school buildings. Our local law enforcement have responded to the threat and are working to secure the building.
After a thorough sweep of the buildings, it was recommended to downgrade to a soft lockdown
Per protocol, Edwin Loe Elementary is on a soft lockdown. There is no imminent threat to the elementary building and will be waiting for our local law enforcement to lift the lockdown.
Once more information becomes available, we will send out another message.
Respectfully,
Mr. Marc Bluestone Sr. Dr. Anthony Vandal
